Microsoft MS-DOS
Version 5
Hyundai

The MS-DOS 5.0 version was released in June 1991. Many companies bought the license from MS to sell the system together with their computers.

The 5.25 "floppy disks with the installation version MS-DOS 5.0 from Hyundai are in a blue and white box with the inscription DISKETTE MS-DOS and the logo Hyundai Electrinics. The yellow round sticker has the marking: ENG BA/N: 55006010520B The box has the designation: E4009201687A The User's Guide and Reference has an individual Hyundai cover The content of the manual appears to be a duplicate of Microsoft's book on 668 pages.

On the first disk, the contents of the README.1ST file (465B in size from 04-09-91 / 5: 00a) indicate where to look for main and helpful data.

Important information and a packing list for MS-DOS
version 5.0 are on the distribution disks as follows:

         README.TXT disk #5
         APPNOTES.TXT disk #3
         PACKING.LST disk #3

These files will be copied to your disk when you install
MS-DOS.

Be sure to read section 2 of README.TXT before installing
MS-DOS version 5.0. It contains hardware specific tips
to help ensure that your installation is successful.

It is recommended: "Be sure to read section 2 of README.TXT before installing MS-DOS version 5.0. It contains hardware specific tips to help ensure that your installation is successful."

In the PACKING.LST file you will find a list of files on floppy disks 1-5. The sixth disk is Tools - UTILITIES. Floppy disks are 360 kB.
Here you will see files from my 1-5 installation diskettes.

The UTILITIES diskette contains:
